Windmill is looking for a Junior Level Social Media Specialist to join our digital marketing team. It is an exciting opportunity that offers a chance to define and to implement a Social Media Strategy. You will use your skills to research US, British and Swiss digital product markets, then define and implement a social media strategy that is well coordinated for a service provider in the product strategy, design, and development area.

You’ll work directly with the Sales and Marketing teams to align our Social Media strategy more closely to the target audiences’ expectations in the B2B Fintech Product Development space. You’ll have the opportunity to create and implement a Social Media Strategy for a fast growing company.

What you’ll do

Your responsibilities will center on improving the visibility, reputation and online presence of Windmill via the following activities, projects and deliverables:

  • Learn about the industry and Windmill’s advantages that are relevant to our customers
  • Conduct competitive social media research, present your findings and develop an effective social media plan and a social media calendar with the highest potential to increase Windmill’s brand visibility and awareness using the available design, development, and content team support
  • Inform the content marketing team’s content calendar for content formats needed for various forums, social media platforms, and online communities
  • Implement a Social Media Calendar, track metrics, monitor the competitive social media landscape
  • Keep a backlog of ideas related to possible social media collaboration opportunities and social media campaigns

What you’ll need to have

For this junior-level SMM role we expect your ability to demonstrate your growth potential with:

  • 1+ years of professionally managing SMM business social media accounts
  • An understanding of SMM and community best practices on LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube
  • Passion for creating great content and research new content opportunities
  • Good time-management skills for managing multiple SMM platforms at once
  • Experience in influencer outreach and building media lists from zero
  • Experience with event and webinar organization and promotion
  • Excellent written and spoken English (CEFT C1+)
  • Ability to track and measure campaign success metrics
  • Excellent presentation skills

  • A super connector on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and other social media outlets
  • A portfolio of professionally managed social media accounts (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram)
  • Experience with software tools to edit and organize compelling social media content (Canva)
  • Interest in social media and desire to grow in this area professionally 
  • Passion, creativity, and being sociable
